You can take a Backup of the Data from virtually any storage medium into any other medium. The more commonly used media for backup are Floppy Drive, Hard Disk Drive , Zip Drive, Tape Drive etc. installed either locally or a on a network. In the desktop screen, the source of the Backup and the Destination of where it has to be stored has to be given.

How to take BackUp Tally Data
Press ALT + F3 ( Company Info) form Gateway of Tally.ERP > Select Backup Screen. The screen appears as shown above, specify the destination path / drive (where backup will be stored) , then select the name of the company and save the screen.

Restore Tally.ERP9 Data
Restore literally means “ to bring back”. Similar to taking backup of data, Tally.ERP allows restoring of data from any medium into any other storage medium.
How to Re Store ?
