How to display Investment above Fixed Assets in Balance Sheet?

Answer

You change the order of display of groups/ledgers in reports by changing the index number of group/ledger in the masters. To display Investment above Fixed Assets in Balance Sheet:

1. Go to Gateway of Tally > Balance Sheet > Highlight the group Investment (place the cursor on Investments)
2. Press Ctrl+Enter to go Group alteration screen
3. Press F10 to display Position Index in Reports field with sort index number for this group
4. Highlight the group Fixed Assets
5. Press Ctrl+Enter
6. Note down the Index of both groups (Investment and Fixed Asset) 
7. Enter/alter the Index Number ( Ensure that the Investement Index should be lesser than the index of the Fixed Asset. In other words, the Fixed Asset should be greater than the Investment)

The groups/ledgers are displayed in reports in the ascending order of index numbers.
